\Midrand, South Africa – July 21, 2025
In a landmark ceremony held today at the seat of the Pan-African Parliament in Midrand, South Africa, Hon. Alex S. Noah, Representative of Electoral District #3, Sinoe County, was formally inducted as a Member of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), alongside fellow lawmakers from across the continent.
Hon. Noah, who now serves as Liberia’s Head of Delegation to the PAP, is joined by two other distinguished members of the Liberian House of Representatives: Hon. Alex Grant of River Cess County District #2 and Hon. Marie Johnson of Grand Gedeh County District #2.
The induction coincided with the official opening of the Pan-African Parliament’s new session—an event marked by ceremony, symbolism, and a renewed commitment to legislative action across Africa. This year’s parliamentary theme, “Justice for Africans and Persons of African Descent through Reparations,” sets the tone for robust debate and progressive policymaking aimed at addressing the historical and systemic injustices endured by African people both on the continent and in the diaspora.
Today’s proceedings signal not only the commencement of a new legislative chapter, but also the growing influence of continental collaboration in shaping Africa’s future through justice, equity, and unity.

Freeport of Monrovia, Liberia — July 3, 2025
In a bold step toward advancing maritime operations in Liberia, APM Terminals, in collaboration with the National Port Authority (NPA), officially launched its state-of-the-art nighttime navigation system and commissioned cutting-edge port equipment at the Freeport of Monrovia on Thursday.
The high-profile ceremony drew national attention, with key dignitaries in attendance — including the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Jeremiah Kpan Koung, and Representative Alex S. Noah, a seasoned maritime expert and former Port Director of the Samuel Alfred Ross Port in Greenville.
Speaking on the significance of the development, Rep. Noah expressed satisfaction with the enhancements, citing them as “a pivotal move toward maritime excellence in Liberia.” He commended both APM Terminals and the NPA for their commitment to modernizing port operations and positioning Liberia as a competitive hub in regional maritime trade.
The newly unveiled equipment and navigational systems are expected to drastically improve safety, efficiency, and 24-hour operational capacity at the Freeport — a critical artery in Liberia’s economic infrastructure.

Noah held interactive discussions with GVL’s senior management and staff, who shared key challenges facing the community—chief among them, the need for improved access to education and healthcare.
In response, Hon. Noah assured the staff that, through his legislative oversight and advocacy, GVL has committed to constructing a school within the camp and establishing a 24-hour medical facility to serve both employees and surrounding communities.
“This is about ensuring that development reaches our people where it matters most,” Rep. Noah emphasized. “Basic services like education and healthcare are not luxuries—they are rights.”
The lawmaker’s visit reinforces his proactive approach to governance, accountability, and ensuring that concessionaires uphold their social responsibilities to host communities.

The legislative impasse at the Capitol Building, which lasted nearly nine months, witnessed significant political tension and division. During this period, Hon. Noah stood firmly on the side of the law by supporting the legally elected Speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa. Despite facing an illegal suspension that lasted about five months, which hindered him from performing his legislative duties, Hon. Noah remained resolute in his stance for constitutional order and legality. His suspension was widely criticized as politically motivated. However, the Supreme Court has now ruled in favor of Cllr. Koffa, officially recognizing him as the legitimate Speaker of the House of Representatives. This landmark decision not only restored order within the legislature but also vindicated Hon. Noah, who is now being praised for his courage and loyalty to the rule of law. His unwavering support for legal processes has earned him respect among his peers and constituents alike.
